Omicron Variant: What do we know about the new coronavirus variant?

Epidemic begins because of a parasitic origin that can cause infectious disease to humans, animals, or both. The many examples of a plague are typhoid, cholera, meningococcal meningitis, viral hemorrhagic, and other fevers or respiratory illnesses that pose a substantial risk to the community including the new omicron variant.

A sudden change in ecology can also cause such communal outbreaks. Once there is increased stress or premature density of a vector species, there will be a genetic modification in the pathogen supply or even the emerging ones to a host.

It can be dangerous, for it contains an enormous global menace.

In December 2019, anxiousness worldwide increased when a sudden upsurge caused an epidemic in Wuhan, China. Health experts named the “turmoil” Coronavirus Disease 2019, also known as COVID-19.

The epidemic is causing pneumonia, trouble in breathing, organ failure in some parts, and heart problems to victims. Several individuals are even experiencing severe lung condition that prompts low oxygen to go through a person’s bloodstream to the organs. This occurrence is called acute respiratory distress syndrome. Once a person has a weak immune system, there is a high risk of dying from the virus.

This epidemic hastily became a pandemic in a matter of a month. Now it caused 403 million cases and 5.78 million deaths worldwide.

Of course, the grass is always greener on the other side. Thus, thanks to the health experts who successfully developed vaccinations to strengthen people’s immune systems to the said contagion like Johnson & Johnson, BioNTech, Pfizer, and Moderna Vaccine. Furthermore, there are fit-to-fly COVID test and Rapid Antigen Test that helps with monitoring and minimizing the continuous spread of the ailment.

It became effective somehow. Despite the preparation and reinforcement against COVID-19, another mutant metamorphosed is the Omicron Variant. It emerged on the 26th of November 2021 and now has 12,947 confirmed cases in Europe and 10,866 in the United Kingdom.
